Reality check
Okay, it ain't the most picturesque in all the world, but it's ours, and it's outlined by restaurants and nightlife. It's Carbondale's last surviving strip of retail storefronts with the original character of the street. For the over-25 crowd, it's a happening place, as restaurants and bars mixed with retail businesses. Sure, it's losing a "landmark" building, but keeping a landmark arch. And another landmark appears destined for oblivion unless a miracle should occur worthy of Queen Latifah in made-for-tv movie. A reality show solution. Why not?
