Two weeks before Bike 2 Work Day
Today, the Bike 2 Work Day committee met with the bicycle dealers, and with Mayor Brad Cole and Elaine Ramseyer of the Historic Town Square Coalition . . . to solidify plans for this year's event on May 12, at noon, when there will be a get together of 'cyclists at the Town Square Pavilion.Details are in the Bike 2 the Future blog. The essentials are: Friday, May 12 -- ride a bicycle to work, then lunch at 12 noon at the pavilion. Enjoy the ride!
Food will be provided by the six restaurants on the square, courtesy of Mayor Cole and Square Deal Events. Items from the menus of the Newell House, Tres Hombres, Global Gourmet, Longbranch, Big Boys, and Thai Taste will be served -- while it lasts.
Trophies will again be made by another Town Square business: Carbondale Trophy.
And for the 4th year, Darby McGrann will add a mellow vibe with his guitar music.
