Promoting Carbondale Town Square

Carbondale's Town Square district is unique to Southern Illinois for two reasons: 1) it isn't truly a "Square" like those in some other cities in the region, and 2) it has more "world-class" restaurants and cool gift shops than any area of comparable size in Southern Illinois.

Be There. On The Square.

Town Square in Carbondale has more fine dining & unique gift shops in view of the Pavilion than any town in Southern Illinois. . . .

with Tastes of Thai,
and Tex-Mex fun at Tres
The Branch for vegetarian
And Global Gourmet entrees.
And Newell House epicurean.

If you love unique & diverse gifts
There's a place to fill that need.
Nearby a place to buy good feed.

From the Pavilion you can see,
Two Doves Photography,
And Guitars and such at OVC,
and Video & Music at Sound Core
And Kaleidoscope has gifts galore.
Like Yesteryear Tobacconist, next door
(which has a cigar humidore).

On Jackson, there's the new Town Market.
Just park your car and walk it. . . .

For a cut or a curl, it's Hair Brains, girl.
Urban Wear has trendy styles.
ABC Liquor Mart, est. *what year* ?

The Bank of Carbondale is "Your Hometown friend"

It's all on the Town Square. Be There.

The music is "Seezin' the Moment," from Volume 1 of Guitars Between the Rivers.) which works really well.

Unfortunately, not all the businesses in the Town Square district, are represented in the current Town Square television commercial; notably:

Arthur Agency, Don Camilla Mexican Grocery, Big Boys Q, the Design Consultants, Fredericks Hair Styling, Carbondale Trophy Company, the geographical research firm, Big Muddy Independent Media Center, WDBX, Cadillac Lounge, the Quick Stop place, Tropicana, King Beef, Barrett, Morris, Broom attorneys, Mary Lou's, the Sachi Japanese restaurant, the Tattoo shop. More than a television commercial could easily cover in sixty seconds.
