Yesterday's opening day at Greyhound was low key -- only two training supervisors and two customers. Plenty of time to stand outside on the sidewalk with Charley Greer and look at the mostly empty, ugly storefronts. Talk about blight! I heard Rosetta Books is gonna move in with the Tropicana, which will be another good draw to the neighborhood. Maybe a Washington St. entrance, too.

Speaking of City Council, my request for a Special Use Permit (to have the Greyhound bus stop at North Washington St.) will not be heard until until June 2, since the May 15 meeting will be taken up with the Installation Ceremony of those voted into office in the recent election -- Cole, Jack, Haynes and Pohlmann.
